The Crude Oil Refinery Owners Association of Nigeria (CORAN) says Nigerians could see petrol prices fall below ₦400/litre if the current decline in global crude oil prices continues. The association argues that if crude drops to $50 per barrel, petrol's not justified to sell above ₦350 per litre—especially given the reduced landing cost. However, CORAN warns that despite these favourable market indicators, petrol prices may still rise due to systemic inefficiencies in the fuel supply chain.
