DIY Moving bed bio filter for grow-on Koi tank! How to build an MBF using evolution aqua K1 and K+

In this video I talk you through my design and build for an internal DIY moving bed biological filter for my koi pond grow on tank! I spent a fair amount of time researching and watching many hours of YouTube videos on diy moving bed bio filters (my wife thinks there’s something wrong with me, and I’d tend to agree lol). I’ve based this design on a supersized internal aquarium MBF. For the main filter I used a plastic storage container from B&M, a couple of drain pipe fittings from Wickes and a couple of air stones and some pipe that came with my air pump. For the media I used 10l of K1 and 1l of K+ which I bought just to see how different if was to K1 lol. Total cost including the media was around £35/£40. My aim was to have a filter that was within the tank rather than in a separate container, which I think I’ve achieved. Time will tell if it works or not!! Wish me luck lol.
