Arduino project #2: plant soil moisture control system

This project has been carried out for the final project of the Tangible Interaction subject of the UOC's Multimedia degree. This is the evolution of the prototype realized in the PAC3 of the same subject. Lately there has been a lot of news that on the one hand indicates that in the future there will be food supply problems, and on the other that more and more people are creating their own urban gardens. This will have several advantages, such as being self-sufficient and, on the other hand, generating food at zero kilometer. So we can transform our own houses, balconies and terraces into centers of food production even if we ourselves are not expert farmers. Since we “urbanites” usually don't have much experience in growing plants, how can we use technology to help us and what characteristics of the plants do we need to control so that they grow well? One of these characteristics that is fundamental is that of irrigation, that is, the humidity of the plant: if it is little, the plant will end up dying and if it is excessive, the plant will end up rotting.
