Z80 Computer - Part 5 Adding RAM

RAM It's time to add some RAM to the trainer board. We start simple and add 32K of RAM using an AS6C62256 chip. First, we look at the circuit diagram and explain the concept of how we decode the memory addressing signals using logic chips. Next, we walk through a new Z80 program to test the memory. Finally, we build up the new circuits and test out the program. Having RAM on the system opens up the possibility to make subroutine calls and use the stack.
