This is how you put an mp3 file into your FL Studio playlist. Demonstrated on FL Studio 20, presented by producer Polar. Note: this does not work on the FL Studio trial version. It's generally best practice to initially set up a single primary 'master folder' for all samples, and then to store any downloaded sample packs as sub-folders within that master folder. Which you then add to: 'Options - File settings - Browse extra search folders' You can then use FL Studio's own internal browser to drag and drop samples from that fixed master folder location into your projects. The reasons for doing this are primarily to ensure... A: FL Studio always knows the 'fixed location' of any samples used in projects. B: To prevent the dreaded 'missing samples' issues that often occur when loading projects which use samples imported from other temporary locations, such as the 'Downloads' folder or the 'Desktop', once those samples are subsequently moved or deleted from those temporary locations. C: Overall, improved organization of the sample packs (for quick/clear navigation within FL Studio's browser) and more efficient when backing them up, since only that one master samples folder (containing all your other sample packs) need ever be archived, ensuring safe copies of all required sample packs. One other tip: If you drag and drop samples on to the playlist 'track header' rather than onto the playlist itself, you will be given the option to use them as either 'Audio Tracks' or 'Instrument tracks' ... which will save time by automatically assigning each sample to its own individual mixer track using the newer dynamic naming and colouring workflow.
