LVMPD Released Videos Showing Officers Fatally Shooting Carjacking Suspect During Police Pursuit

VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED Las Vegas, Nevada — On April 21, 2020 at approximately 1:55 p.m., an LVMPD Patrol Officer noticed a four-door sedan driving erratically on Charleston Blvd and I-15. A record check of the plate revealed the plate had been stolen under a previous event. The LVMPD Air Unit was monitoring the vehicle as it continued to drive erratically through multiple parts of the city. At approximately 3:05 p.m., the vehicle came to a stop in the area of Twain and Paradise. The suspect exited the vehicle holding a firearm and attempted to carjack a citizen. Officers who were monitoring, and following nearby, immediately engaged the suspect. The officers discharged their firearms, striking the suspect.
