We first visited the Jungfraujoch in 2000. The Jungfraujoch, or 'The Top of Europe' as it is known, is one of the most famous peaks in the Swiss Alps. Once on the viewing platform you will be standing at 3454m above sea level with breathtaking views of snow, ice and rock in every direction. Journeying up to Kleine Scheidegg on the Wengeralp Railway, you continue your journey through the Eiger on the Jungfraubahn to the highest station in Europe. During the final part of the journey take the opportunity to disembark at the viewing stations where you will be rewarded with views across the front of the mountains and beyond. Once at the Jungfraujoch there are various activities and tourist attractions including the Snow Park, Ice Palace, restaurants and retail outlets but it is surely the 4000m peaks that surround you that are the highlight of the visit. Come with us as we take in the views from the Sphinx Terrace and hike out along the snowy trail to the Mönchjochütte.
