Embryology is difficult, especially when it comes to the eye. The lens placode becomes the lens vesicle? What does that even mean?! But if you understand how organs develop, then it opens up a new perspective on the mature organ structure. This video aims to tell the story of how the vertebrate eye develops, using the mouse as a model.
