We begin today's video with a bakkie and trailer carrying ten people swept off the low water bridge into the flooding Komati River in the Mpumalanga Province of South Africa today. All people were able to reach safety with only minor injuries. Heavy rain in Kruger National Park, near Satara Rest Camp. More rain in Pretoria, Deneysville and Potchefstroom today. Horse riding on the beach at Paternoster. We visit Lanzerac Hotel and Spa in Stellenbosch. Hailstorm in Rustenburg. Stand on top of the Valley of Desolation at Graaff Reinet. The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows: Dangerous storms are heading for the Mpumalanga Province escarpment and eastern Highveld plus the Limpopo Province escarpment and northern regions today with a Level 4 warning for heavy rain that’ll flood roads and bridges and damage infrastructure with strong damaging winds, while central and eastern Limpopo Province, Mpumalanga’s Province Highveld and Lowveld, KZN Province midlands and west, eastern Free State Province, and southwestern North West Province are under a Level 2 for similar flooding and damage on a more localized scale, so secure loose items and avoid travel through low-lying areas.
