Text The New City Anna is 16 years old. She lives in a small village. One day, her father gets a new job in the city. The family must move. Anna feels excited, but also a little scared. The city is big. There are many tall buildings and many cars. Anna looks out of the bus window when they arrive. Everything is new for her. On the first day, Anna walks to a small park near her new home. She sees children playing football. A girl smiles at her and says, “Do you want to play?” Anna says, “Yes.” She is happy. At school, Anna is nervous. The teacher asks everyone to say their name. Anna says, “My name is Anna. I am from a small village.” Some students smile. After class, a boy asks, “Do you like music?” Anna says, “Yes, I love music.” The boy says, “I play guitar. Do you want to join our music club?” Anna feels excited. That evening, Anna tells her mother, “The city is big, but I think I can find friends here.” Her mother smiles and says, “Yes, Anna. Every place can feel like home when we have friends.” Anna goes to bed. She looks out of the window at the lights of the city. She feels calm. Tomorrow will be another new day.
