Y’all… this trip was an experience. I got the chance to stay in Nyahururu with someone’s family, not just visiting, but living in the home, sharing meals, conversations, and just soaking up everyday life in Kenya. It was powerful. Seeing the cultural differences up close made me really reflect on what “home” and “community” mean. I came to learn, to grow, and to embrace the beauty of African culture and it did not disappoint. But I’m not going to lie, I was also going through some personal stuff that had me in a dark place mentally. Life doesn’t pause when you’re traveling. But somehow, being surrounded by genuine people, love, and this whole new environment gave me space to start healing. Then came Naivasha....maaaan, that was a whole movie. I went boat riding, hit the trails four-wheeling, met some genuine people... and almost got stranded out there 😂. Kenya will humble you and lift you up at the same time. On top of that, I ran into some real camera issues — lost some footage, had a few setbacks, and that’s why this vlog took a minute. But I couldn’t let that stop me from telling this story. If you’ve ever wanted to reconnect with your roots, step outside your comfort zone, or just see what it’s like living with a real Kenyan fam, this one’s for you. ✊🏾 Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe. #BlackTravel #KenyaVibes #Nyahururu #Naivasha #AfricanCulture #TravelWhileBlack #HealingJourney #SoloTravel #DiasporaConnections #LostFootageChronicles #VlogLife
