Acrylic Painting Tutorial - Crashing Wave (Beginner to Intermediate)

So I have been absolutely in love with the work of Wade Koniakowsky, and have been wanting to give his style a try for a while to learn exactly how he makes his incredible pieces! And I thought it would be a great idea to share how I painted this little study/interpretation of one of his pieces in a tutorial! In this painting tutorial we learn how to paint a single crashing wave with light illuminating the water and foam splashing into the air. This is a really simple composition that should be both fun and achievable for beginners, some of the color transitioning may be more in line with an intermediate level. But over all this is absolutely a painting tutorial for beginners. Remember, if you are a beginner, focus on being patient with yourself and having fun! Don't be hard on yourself if it doesn't turn out like you wanted. Remember you are learning and learning is all about making mistakes!
