Milky Way Core Arrives on Anglesey

The Milky Way Galactic Arc arises on the Island of Anglesey, North Wales. This amazing cosmic sight will only last till the end of April due to the waxing Moon and shorter nights of the approaching Summer season. Indeed, it won't be until September, much later in the year, will the nights be dark enough for the core to be seen again! Only in March and April will there be an opportunity to grab an image of the whole Milky Way Arc that incudes our galactic core and the amazing Rho Opiuchi molecular complex. In this video I manage just that and also grab some great images of the nebula in the core region with my Redcat51 telescope - including the famous 'Pillars of Creation' within the Eagle Nebula!! I use a variety of cameras and lenses to grab some great astro shots of star trails, timelapses and widefield shots which include the Rhoscolyn Coastguard Lookout Station with views to the Rhoscolyn Beacon, Nebo Radio Transmitter and Llyn Peninsula of North Wales.
