Part 3: Collection Relationships - Build a Real Estate Marketplace with NextJS and Payload CMS

After creating our first collection in the previous video, in this video, we are now starting on the Properties collection. We won't be able to cover the entire collection as there will be quite a bit, but what we do cover is nonetheless interesting. We cover the basics for Properties but also we dive into Relationship Fields. Each property will need a ZIP code and that is what our ZipCode collection is for. We will create a relationship to the ZipCode collection. Also, because the ZIP code data is set up in a particular way, when doing a query, either as part of the Payload local API or as part of the Payload REST API, the output is not in the shape that we want. We will use a hook on the Properties collection to clean that up, creating a kind of "virtual field". --- In this series, we will be building a fictitious real estate listings marketplace with Payload CMS. I am calling it TennHomes, which is an agency that supports home buyers and sellers in the East Tennessee area. I have designed, coded, and styled the homepage but have not integrating anything deeper than that, just a static page with placeholder text.
