Duotts C29 eBike Review | More Like a Mountain Bike & Easier on the Wallet ! In this video, I take a look at the C29 ebike which is made by Duotts. The bike has 21 gears (Shimano Tourney TZ), front suspension with lockout and adjustable preload and a large 15AH (48v) battery. The range claimed by Duotts on a full charge is between 80-100KM, but that is based on ideal conditions. In practice, I have found the battery to be long lasting due to only using pedal assist because I am still doing some of the work. Front and rear mechanical discs provide ample stopping power; whilst I would have preferred hydraulic brakes (these are an additional option), they do a good job at stopping the bike. The LCD screen is easy to read in bright conditions thanks to the 3 levels of brightness which you can choose. Charging the bike from a depleted battery can take a good few hours. There is a robust rear rack which you can add a bag or accessories to. Front and rear LED lights provide good visibility, along with a horn feature. The C29 has 29" rims. There is an app for the bike which you can download via Google / Apple store and this allows you to monitor features, make changes and also connect and charge your mobile phone via the bluetooth unit; the bike comes with a handy mobile phone holder too. I have tried many ebikes and have to say that the C29 is the most like a 'traditional' mountain bike that I have ever used - it is much lighter in weight than other models that I have tried, which makes it very practical and nimble.
