A Musical Tribute to Carlos Velasco

I would like all of you to meet Carlos. The first four or five time that I filmed him, I didn't even know that he could play the guitar. He was singing and playing the piano. I found out that he not only can play the guitar, but that he was a virtuoso guitar artist, when I was invited to film "A Musical Soirée with Julio de la Huerta," on March 27, 2014. The first excerpt of this video is from that Julio de La Huerta concert. Julio is the composer-guitarist wearing the white jacket. Carlos is the other guitarist, wearing the black jacket. The young lady with the angelic voice, who sings shortly after that excerpt begins, is Kasondra Kazanjian. At age 25, Kasondra produced, directed, and performed in, that magnificent Julio de La Huerta concert. Talk about being impressed. When I was 25 years old, I couldn't even put a hamburger together, let alone a masterful musical production. Some of the other excerpts are from "Jammin Fun at The House of Poland," on September 2, 2012. That was the first time I met Carlos. I was actually there to film the accordionist, Greg Wawrzyniak. I was really surprised when I went to film the Julio concert, and discovered that Carlos would be performing. I was doubly surprised to discover that he was the best guitarist I have ever heard. The part that I appreciate the most, is the last excerpt, "Jammin' Fun at The House of Spain," from October 5, 2014. It doesn't, show the musical magnificence that the Julio concert shows. I included it because it shows the magnificent sense of humor and love for having fun, that is in the heart of Carlos Velasco. So, Carlos, a very, very big thanks to you, not only for being a world class artist, but for being a friend. And thank you all for watching. Louis.
