In-depth discussion of the tornado outbreak focused on central Oklahoma on May 24, 2011. This outbreak saw multiple strong-to-violent tornadoes wreak havoc on central Oklahoma, including a 63-mile-long EF5 that traveled from near El Reno to Piedmont to Guthrie.
