Rather scatterbrained troubleshooting approach in this video. The problems was no output, but most of the lights worked. I checked all of the power supply voltages. The positive and negative voltages to the output transistors was there. One of the DC supply voltages was missing; most likely due to a suspicious zener diode. All zeners are rated at a certain voltage; there is a little "leeway," but not much; meaning that the replacement zener should have the same rating. In this case I used a 23v zener diode, with the same wattage rating (1/2watt). The glue which was used to hold capacitors in place was corrosive. I then had to remove the glue as much as possible. After cleaning the board up with isopropyl alcohol and cotton swabs, swapping out the bad zener, and putting fresh thermal paste on the regulator transistor, the receiver came back to life. Not shown on camera is the cleaning of all the switches and controls with contact cleaner. This was done when I had previously worked on the unit and could have also caused no output. I had worked on the unit before; a capacitor across the AC power switch shorted out and started burning.
