Monday March 28 2022 at 13.39 and 13.57. The first weekday trams of the 2022 season running on the Seaton Tramway, a 3 mile long, 33 inch gauge track in Devon. Originally it was a short standard gauge railway branch line which closed in 1966. The trams started in 1970. The first tram in the video, the 13.20 Seaton to Colyton (13.47), tram 10, was built in 2006. The second, the 13.40 Seaton to Colyton (14.07) tram 12, was built in 1966 and modified in 1999 to make it look rather like London Transport's Feltham trams. The trams are half or two-thirds size. A 20 minute service is operated throughout the season so the crossing activates every 10 minutes. In 2018 an HGV loaded with a digger took down the power cables here. Note how tight to the road the first tram was.
