BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Hyderabad constituency Madhavi Latha on April 17 criticized the Telangana government over police denying permission for Ram Navami Shobha Yatra of BJP MLA Raja Singh. Talking to the media, Madhavi Latha said that they gave permission for Ramadan celebrations but denied permission for Shobha Yatra citing Model Code of Conduct. “Ramadan was also during the time of election code. But they didn’t shut down masjids. Why they are not giving permission to Raja Singh. He holds Ram Navami Shobha Yatra from a very long time.
