JOIN BROADCAST PLAZA TODAY, DISCORD'S MEDIA DISCUSSION COMMUNITY — http://bit.ly/S31MA Complete complement of opens from Phoenix's independent news station that is owned by Meredith Corporation. 3TV is considered a ratings leader and is combined into a duopoly with the local CBS affiliate, KPHO. This video mostly contains KTVK's current look and sound since the December 2020 implementation of the current Meredith group graphics, sprinkled in with a healthy amount of KPHO and "AZFamily" opens too. AZFamily is the combined branding used by the two stations when they are simulcasting shows together. AZFamily is an offshoot of the "Arizona's Family" slogan originally used by KTVK during its time as an ABC affiliate. Due to the coronavirus pandemic impacting the company financially, KTVK and KPHO ceased production on their independent shows during overlapping timeslots and joined forces to simulcast starting in March 2020. In the mornings, KTVK's morning newscast "Good Morning Arizona" began to be simulcast on KPHO from 4.30-7am replacing that station's low-rated production of its own, with its anchors reassigned. For the rest of the newscasts, the "Arizona's Family News" branding is used during overlapping timeslots and at times when the other station is programming something else, the independent brand survives. This duopoly uses a gold-accented version of the Meredith graphics with some blue and orange. Music is a mix of "Propulsion" and "A New Wish", both from Warner Chappell Production Music. Propulsion was originally used by KTVK while A New Wish was used by KPHO. In the 7am KTVK cold open, FirstCom library track “Headline News Night” carries over from the old look. Also featured are the lifestyle show opens for "Your Life Arizona". Unlike most of its type, it's very obviously pre-recorded and runs intermittently throughout the month. They were still using the old open in December and had not yet switched to Meredith's standard lifestyle show package. That's since been implemented. The music on the new version sounds a lot like the same production track used by “Hello Iowa” on Des Moines NBC affiliate WHO. No voiceover is used during the opens, but Brian Lee is the station voiceover. Anchors featured include Javier Soto, Gina Maravilla, meteorologist Ian Schwartz, Olivia Fierro, Scott Pasmore, meteorologist April Warnecke, Suzanne Bissett, Brandon Hamilton, Jared Dillingham, Heather Moore, Nicole Crites, and meteorologist Sean McLaughlin.
