Now this part and 2 that follows are an example of this game's mood swings. Normally after having done the things I did in the last 3 parts Longneck should give up on loving and bury himself underground than you kick him and give his idea sephira to everyone (if that's what happen for you skip the parts marked as "not always required" to get to the next part of the walkthrough that's relevant to you). It can happen that he'll still be well (at least of his standards) and you'll have to go through the tower again. It's unsure what exactly triggers him but the most popular theory is, that he'll want to kill himself after you meet and purify a couple of the Koriels (I do that on this run I'm still unsure if it had the desired effect), or you have to kill yourself a couple of times. I didnt meet a single Koriel on my first run of the tower so that might be the issue. None of the events that happen in this part are deemed required by the speed walkthrough. I do get some extra scenes but I dont think any of them are required to trigger the next story event but who knows. On the side note it seems that the widescreen cheatcode I use slightly distorts the numbers under the lifebars, it's probably because this game uses really low horizontal resolution (like most PS2 games) so when it's trying to stretch the 1 pixel thin letters to 1,5 pixel width the 0,5 just disappears somewhere. For me it's no big deal as I can still read them and I prefer to have the extra horizontal view. Just making a note of that this isnt exactly what it looks like in the vanilla game
