Johor Conversations 2025 Series 2 | Connected Johor: Catalysing Smart Cities, Mobility and Economic Growth Johor Conversations returned for its second series of 2025, spotlighting the transformative power of connectivity and mobility in shaping Johor’s next phase of growth. Held at SkyScape @ Menara JLand, the dialogue brought together planners, policymakers and industry leaders to explore how smarter infrastructure and improved mobility can unlock cross-border collaboration, talent movement and innovation for a more connected Johor. A key highlight was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CEREBRUM by JCorp, Johor Civil Service Academy (JCSA) and GovInsider Singapore, formalising the creation of a Community of Practice (CoP) to strengthen knowledge exchange and turn policy insights into tangible action. JCorp Chief Talent Officer Najmie Nordin emphasised that mobility goes beyond transport, it is the movement of people, ideas and opportunities. “We want to create this concept called the Community of Practice, where Johor Civil Service, industry experts and academia come together to find solutions. At the state level, we have to think strategically, not just to manage this, but to capitalise on the opportunities that mobility expansion will bring to Johor,” he said. Johor Conversations continues to serve as a catalyst for meaningful dialogue and coordinated action, driving Johor toward a smarter, connected and future-ready state. Also in attendance were YB Dato' Dr Haji Badrul Hisham Kassim, Chief Executive Officer of JCSA, Datuk Akmal Ahmad, Director of Real Estate and Infrastructure Division of JCorp and Group Managing Director of JLand Group, Datuk Ts. Mahadhir Aziz, Director of Patient Capital Division and Group Managing Director of Johor Capital Group, Dr Ahmad Marzuki Ariffin, Chief Executive Officer of RTS Operations Pte Ltd, Mr Eugene Quah, Country President (Malaysia) of Schneider Electric and Mr Tyler Lim, Director of GovInsider Singapore.
