I’m truly grateful that I could share this precious time with all of you.🍃 【matcha scones with chocolate & strawberry】 no need to cut butter into flour — easy and beginner-friendly 【ingredients】 about 14 scones (4 cm / 1.5 inch round) 1½ cups + 1 tbsp (185 g) cake flour 2½ tbsp (15 g) matcha powder 2 tsp (10 g) baking powder 3 tbsp (40 g) granulated sugar 1 egg 1 tbsp + 1 tsp (20 g) milk 3½ tbsp (50 g) unsalted butter, melted ⅓ cup (50 g) milk chocolate, chopped 2 strawberries, diced 【instructions】 Sift the cake flour and matcha powder together. in a large bowl, combine the sifted dry ingredients with the granulated sugar. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and melted butter. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix gently. It’s okay if a little dry flour remains. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator until firm. Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the dough. Divide the dough into 4 portions. Sandwich the chocolate and strawberries between the layers. Roll out again, cut the dough in half, and stack the pieces. Cut into rounds with a cookie cutter or slice into desired shapes.
