Yokohama AD08RS – All-Around Test Best time: 1.18,97 — a few mistakes, I know, but I had to finish earlier that day. The main goal was to test the Yokohama AD08RS on all four corners (previously I ran two different pairs of RGC Hard and AD08rs). The overall balance is similar to the previous RGC all-around setup. Ambient temperature was about 10°C. These tires need more warm-up than RGC or typical UPH summer tires. Once properly heated, they offer a short performance window — about 1–1.5 fast laps — before grip starts to drop slightly, though not dramatically. You can still push them and maintain consistent lap times during practice. A big plus is convenience: you can go to the track, drive, and return home without changing wheels. Marbles don’t stick much, and the tires remain balanced even after a track day. Considering how much abuse they can handle, I really like them. They’re ideal for practice sessions and mixed daily use. On the road, they behave like regular tires, with less grip than my Continental SportContact 7, but still predictable and stable. Wear is excellent — after two track days, there’s no visible wear. Overall, the Yokohama AD08RS is an excellent choice for practice. Just don’t expect them to be extremely sticky or to deliver the absolute best lap times — they’re not designed for that — but they provide plenty of consistent laps.
