🎨 Christina’s World is a beautiful piece about friendship, strength and hope. Painted by Andrew Wyeth in 1948 it features his close friend Christina Olson crawling towards her family home on the hill. Robbed of her ability to walk by a neurological disease, she chose to crawl instead of using a wheelchair. In capturing this moment Wyeth gave us a canvas on which to project our own personal worlds and ask ourselves if we are as content in ours as Christina is in hers. In this episode of Pieces of Art I discuss: ➡ The Background and Composition of the piece and the themes of: 1️⃣ Ambiguity 2️⃣ Autonomy 3️⃣ The Personal World 🔗 Links and sources: MoMA: [https://www.moma.org/collection/works...](https://www.moma.org/collection/works...)
