Day 6 – Beyond Good Intentions SCRIPTURE “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” James 1:22 GOING POINT – APPLY Going beyond begins when we apply what we already know. Many people hear God’s Word daily but delay acting on it. Growth happens not through information, but through implementation. Today’s Action: Identify one truth God has already shown you and intentionally put it into practice today. GROWING POINT – MATURITY Spiritual maturity develops through obedience, not exposure. James reminds us that listening without action creates self-deception. Mature believers grow by aligning their behavior with God’s Word. In real life, growth accelerates when faith moves from hearing to doing. CLOSING PRAYER God, Help me not to stop at hearing Your Word. Give me the discipline to apply it daily. Grow me into a mature believer who lives out what I believe. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
