Depressed acne is more common in the cheeks and the forehead, in the sides on the temple area. On the nose and the chin there are elevated scars. Depressed scars are more difficult to treat and the are caused due to no collagen in the area where the pimples are present. So to induce collagen formation, we do procedures like micro needling, we do procedures like resurfacing lasers and we do procedures like fractional RF. These are the common procedures done for the treatment of scars. It requires several treatments just 3 or 4 sessions may not be enough. It might require 6 or 8 sessions, the treatment duration may vary from 9 months to 16 to 18 months. So anywhere between a year to a year and a half. So the results may be anywhere between 60 to 80%.
