At Diego Martin, the Honourable Symon de Nobriga, Member of Parliament for Diego Martin Central, delivered a fiery message that exposed the failures of the UNC government. He reminded the nation that in just 136 days the people have not seen progress but betrayal. From Diego Martin to Mayaro, from Tobago to Point Fortin, the story is the same. Jobs have been lost, programs dismantled, families suffering and communities neglected. CEPEP, URP, Reforestation and other lifelines for working people have been destroyed, leaving tens of thousands without stability or hope. Instead of building the nation the UNC has chosen spite, corruption and revenge. Citizens are struggling to pay rent, buy groceries and keep businesses alive, while the largest Cabinet in our history wastes taxpayers’ money on propaganda and photo opportunities. Local government corporations are starved of resources, drains and roads are left in disrepair, garbage piles up and recreation grounds are overrun with bush. But there is hope in the People’s National Movement. As MP Brego declared, as surely as morning follows the darkest night, the PNM is here, reconnecting with the people, rebuilding communities and preparing to return to governance in 2030. The PNM is not only restoring itself but rebuilding Trinidad and Tobago. We are rebuilding trust, rebuilding opportunity and rebuilding the very fabric of this nation. With vision, with discipline and with truth, the PNM will once again bring stability and certainty to the lives of our people. Great is the PNM. Great are the People. And together we shall prevail.
