Ingrid Mae’s highly anticipated new single “Broken Moon” was released on the 29th of August 2025. A strong and emotional song with it’s own western swagger, “Broken Moon” explores the life of a dear friend who faced many battles in her life. The songs poetic twist questions whether her life circumstances came about due to being born on a moon that was somehow broken. Ingrid Mae knew she wanted someone else's influence on the song and it didn’t take too long to realise Aria and Golden Guitar winning producer Shane Nicholson was the only man for the job. “I knew Shane could really understand the light and shade and give the song the lens that it needed to make the song so much more than just a sad story” says Ingrid. Stepping outside her usual musical process was a bold move for Ingrid Mae and decision she has celebrated and enjoyed. “I doubt anyone could put the stamp on Broken Moon that it deserved and Shane has completed nailed it. Plus, his harmonies are the icing on the cake for me.”
