Anxiety, (There’s always hope) Anxiety comes from projecting. When you project it is always distorted. I want to make this clear, I am talking about projecting on your personal life, I am not talking about business projections. This morning (Saturday), I had to go grocery shopping, my cupboards are bare. The weather report is predicting a blizzard coming in on Sunday, continuing into Monday. A projection based on computer models. I have no idea what percentage of the time they are right, but it’s never one hundred percent. What did I endure while doing the food shopping? About forty percent of the people there were in panic mode; they were running around, grabbing stuff off the shelves like they would be shut in for months. Here in Westchester County, New York, it’s always cleaned up by the afternoon when the snow stops. When all is said and done, we realize the panic and the anxiety weren’t worth it. This goes with everything we do, not just storms; we worry about what is going to come, usually based on what is happening today, and many convince themselves that nothing will get better. We have free will. If we want our lives to change, to get better, there is always a path to get there, we just have to find a way and be patient, lose the fog of anxiety or depression. By holding on to the anxiety, even depression, we can no longer see clearly. The fog of both blinds us. It takes inner strength to fight through it. We all have the inner strength, it’s there, look for it, find it, and bring it to the surface. Move toward a new, happier, and better life. Find your way out of that, write it out, or talk to a trusted friend. Figure out what isn’t working for you, and plan your next move. Focus on your new future. The future you can create by starting to walk the new path you desire. Stay focused, never let anyone talk you out of following your hopes and dreams, your new path. With determination, perhaps a little luck, naw luck has nothing to do with it, make your own luck. Once you are well on your way, you will realize you wasted too much of your life worrying about things that never happened. The world didn’t end, and your journey has begun. Enjoy the journey, even the pitfalls, yes, there will be pitfalls, keep in mind, they are just challenges for you to overcome, nothing more. As you continue moving forward, you will find your confidence; it was always there, you just couldn’t see it because of the fog of anxiety. Never fear failure, it’s only failure if you give up and walk away. Your journey will change consistently, adjusting to change and embracing it. Beat back negativity, be strong, and you will move through everything. Once there, you will see it was all worth it, and the worry was never worth it. It will be a wonderful, satisfying journey. Always remain hopeful, never hopeless. Always be optimistic, never pessimistic.
