Apostle Grace Lubega Galatians 5:6 (NKJV): “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.” — Faith does not operate in isolation. In Christ, faith finds its full expression through love. Scripture is clear: what gives faith its effectiveness is love. Without love, faith may exist, but its demonstration may be outside divine order. Love is supreme because God Himself is love (1 John 4:8). It is the atmosphere in which faith is preserved, guided, and perfected. You cannot express faith beyond your revelation of love, and whenever a believer steps out of love in the exercise of faith, they forfeit the wisdom that should accompany that expression of faith. Love is God’s way of guarding the integrity of faith. The wisdom that flows from love teaches you responsibility in how you express what you believe. This is why Scripture says, “Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God” (Romans 14:22). There are dimensions of faith that are for your personal growth and walk with God, not for public display. What may be permissible by faith for you may not yet be profitable for another. Love gives you the discernment to know when the demonstration of your liberty could stumble, confuse, or weaken a believer who is still growing. Therefore, love teaches restraint in how we demonstrate our faith. Your faith may grant you access to certain realms, but love teaches you when to speak, when to remain silent, when to demonstrate, and when to keep certain victories between you and God. As you grow in love, you grow in wisdom. And as wisdom governs your faith, your life increasingly reflects Christ. This is the maturity of faith—faith that works through love. PRAYER: Loving Father, thank You for this understanding. I have the wisdom to walk in faith that edifies. Love governs all my actions. By Your grace, I steward my liberty with maturity and compassion. My faith always works through love. My life reflects the heart of Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
