I decided to kick off with not only one of my favorite, but also one of the most DIFFICULT multi-day hikes in Pakistan: Rush Lake in Gilgit-Baltistan. At almost 4,700 meters, this lake is tucked deep in the mountains of Nagar and is one of the highest alpine lakes in the world. 🏔️ This 4-day trek is no joke—crazy elevation gains, glacier crossings, river crossings, and the ever-present challenge of altitude. But for those willing to push themselves, the reward is beyond words. 🛣️ What's in this video: Day 1 – Hopar Valley to Bericho Kor: We kicked things off with the first out of three glacier crossings, battled the heat, and found a peaceful campsite tucked among the mountains. Day 2 – Bericho Kor to Rush Lake: The never ending incline was relentless… But reaching the stunning Rush Lake honestly made it worth all the pain 😉. Day 3 – Rush Lake to Hapakun: If you thought yesterday was hard, think again… Descending back down was a whole different challenge. And that wasn’t the only one of the day, as we also had 2 more glacier crossings AND a sketchy river crossing to conquer. Day 4 – Hapakun to Hopar Valley: The last push to complete the trek, all while reflecting on the journey and the incredible resilience of our amazing team. This is the place I stayed in in Hunza.
