[Original Airdate: August 10, 2017] This one-hour special looks back and looks ahead to what's going on in Milwaukee's Sherman Park neighborhood, one year after a night of unrest and violence rocked this diverse community. This program looks at the social and economic issues that may have led to the disturbance and that may still prevail today not only in Sherman Park but in others areas of the city. Recorded at Parklawn Assembly of God in the heart of Sherman Park, audience members also got a chance to voice their concerns. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter and Milwaukee PBS contributor James Causey interviews several local and state leaders, including Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn, State Sen. Lena Taylor, and Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch about the problems and possible solutions to issues facing many families in Milwaukee communities. This program was produced in partnership with WUWM Milwaukee Public Radio. Recorded on July 27, 2017 at Parklawn Assembly of God in Sherman Park Show transcript: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwR5... 10thirtysix: https://www.milwaukeepbs.org/local-pr... https://www.pbs.org/show/10thirtysix/ Subscribe to Milwaukee PBS on YouTube ►► https://bit.ly/2pESb9F Support 10thirtysix and Milwaukee PBS by becoming a member! ►► https://bit.ly/35UGfB6 ABOUT 10THIRTYSIX Compelling stories and documentaries about local issues, successes, and the people living and working in our southeast Wisconsin communities.
