Meaningful community engagement and citizen-led accountability can be powerful tools for inclusive, rights-based progress. However, building the room and political will for these processes can be challenging. How do you make sure that policies and programs reflect the needs and priorities of the people they are intended to serve? How can citizens get a seat and a voice at the decision-making table? How can citizens help hold their governments to account, and deliver the services they need and prioritize? This webinar features local, national, and regional leaders dedicated to bringing the voices of the people to policy decision-making – to ultimately hold governments accountable to addressing the needs and realities of girls and women. This webinar originally aired in English on 17 April 2019. Speakers include: Rachel Wilson, Founder of Catalysts for Change Frank Ategeka, Team Leader and Co-Founder of Rural Aid Foundation Uganda Dr. Aparajita Gogoi, Executive Director of the Centre for Catalyzing Change and National Coordinator of White Ribbon Alliance India Chris Lunch, Director of InsightShare Angel Del Valle, M&E Specialist, Population Council Guatemala
