Chencho Gyeltshen (Dzongkha: བཙན་སྐྱོགས་རྒྱལ་མཚན; born 10 May 1996) is a Bhutanese professional footballer who plays as a forward for the Liga 2 club Sriwijaya and captains the Bhutan national team. Gyeltshen is Bhutan's all-time leading international goalscorer. Affectionately nicknamed CG7 or the "Bhutanese Ronaldo" due to his style of play, which resembles that of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gyeltshen is the first fully professional Bhutanese footballer. He hails from Shapa Gewog in Paro District and began playing football in primary school, inspired by his brother. Chencho cites Cristiano Ronaldo as his main footballing influence. From class six to ten, he studied at Loselling Middle Secondary School and then moved to Ugyen Academy for class eleven. He completed class twelve at Kelki Higher Secondary School. Although he initially intended to pursue martial arts, he eventually decided to focus on becoming a professional football player.
