All Female B-2 Combat Pilots at Whiteman AFB: International Women's Day

International Women's Day: March 8, 2019: For the first time six female B-2 bomber pilots assigned to the 509th Bomb Wing history at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, talk about flying and serving their country. This is the highest number of female pilots in the history of the 509th Bomb Wing. "We need more women," said Capt. Jennifer Crum. "I think it's important for young girls to recognize that this is a career field available to them, and for them to work towards it." Whiteman Air Force Base is home to the B-2 Stealth Bomber. According to a release, the mission of the 509th Bomb Wing is to execute strategic nuclear operations, lethal global strike and combat support anywhere in the world at any time.
