The center of counter culture in the Summer of Love in Toronto was Yorkville. A documentary about this remarkable time of freedom and transition was released in 1968 by the National Film Board of Canada but not shown theatrically. Our Toronto published 4+ minutes of excerpts, which I cut down to fit the song by Crystal Circus "In Relation (To Our Times). I can't find the lyrics on-line for this pop-psyche masterpiece, but its not really important. To me, more than any other year of the nineteen-sixties, '67 had the most distinct identity any year could have (certainly in music if not otherwise). As well I believe 1967 was the dawn of our modern world of color, progressive music, participation in the western cultural renaissance by the masses, and so much more. Several young people (six) are holding Kodak Instamatic M4 super 8 cameras, produced 1965-67.
