Is Croatia Expensive for Campervans? Our Real Costs for 1 Month!

How expensive is it really to travel through Croatia in a campervan? We spent 31 days travelling from Rovinj to Dubrovnik in our self-built campervan and tracked every single cost to see what a trip like this actually costs. We heard that Croatia can be really expensive for campervans, especially because wild camping is illegal and campsites can be very pricey! However, we were actually surprised by how much we managed to keep our costs down by using small campsites (auto camps), farm stays, homestays and other low cost overnight spots. We found that these options also meant we met some amazing people, saw some lovely spots, and ate some incredible local produce.
