The glass behind is called the rear window and the defrosting and defogging device is called a heated rear window and this is the symbol that we will have to look for in the car to be able to activate it. In most vehicles it is activated only with the engine running, because this device works with electricity, and if the engine were off there would be a risk of draining the battery. Once activated by pressing the button, electricity is sent to those thin wires that are on the rear glass and which are resistors. With the electricity the resistor heats up, and so will the glass, which will defrost or defog depending on the case. After asking how to defrost or defog the rear window, it is very likely that you will be asked to do the same thing with the glass in front, which is called the windshield. This device also, in most vehicles, only works with the engine running, and this is the symbol that we will have to look for in the car to activate it. Normally, it does not work with electricity like the heated rear window, but with air. When you turn it on, the car will blow air conditioning at high speed from the vents under the windshield and near the side windows. The air conditioning, preferably warm, will quickly defog or defrost the windshield and side windows. Still on the subject of ventilation, the examiner may ask what precautions should be taken before entering a tunnel. One of the problems with tunnels is that there is a lot of exhaust gas from the vehicles that pass through them. Before entering the tunnel, it is therefore advisable to raise all the windows, so that these gases do not enter from there, and activate the recirculation device, which usually has this symbol but which can also change depending on the car model. Recirculation is used to ensure that outside air does not enter the vehicle, and it recirculates, therefore rotating, the air that is already inside. This device should also be used when you are in a queue with many other vehicles or when the vehicle in front of you is producing a lot of smoke from the exhaust. If we did not activate the recirculation, this smoke would enter the car and we would breathe it in. Obviously, if you have not already done so, before entering the tunnel you will also need to turn on the parking lights and dipped headlights. #DRIVINGEXAMS #PRIMAFASEDRIVINGEXAMS #DRIVINGLICENCEEXAMS #DRIVINGLICENCE
