Profound Thought: "It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves." -Edmund Hillary Random Thought: I don't normally like to spend a lot of time dwelling on negativity but someone recently commented saying they were unsubscribing to me for a couple of reasons. And they totally have a right to feel however they feel and unsubscribe. But I thought, I wonder if other people have the same concerns? And perhaps I can explain... 1. They don't like vlogs I'm not sure if anyone has picked up on this, but I'm doing the vlogs ON TOP of my regular 3 beauty videos a week, not to replace beauty content. On a typical week when I'm not traveling, it's just something extra. I felt like incorporating vlogs because it's a way to "let people in"... I actually felt a little scared to do it at first, however it's been a refreshing way to be vulnerable and connect to you all in a deeper way. It's the kind of video that I enjoy watching from others. Plus one day when my kids are older, I'll love looking back on them. But I try to very clearly label them (in titles and thumbnails) "VLOGS" so you'll have full warning that it's not a regular beauty video and you can freely exercise your right to not click on it. 2. They don't like ads on videos I don't do sponsored videos, so ads before/within/after my videos are how I earn income doing what I do, along with affiliate links (see the paragraph below my disclaimer for more explanation on that). I feel a few seconds of an ad is very little to put up with in exchange for genuine, unbiased content. Whenever I see ads on videos, I don't get upset or frustrated... I know that I'm helping the individual who's creating the content that I enjoy watching. Thanks to all who grant me that same understanding... I really appreciate it!
