We discuss how fall damage is calculated, why to dig out a larger area for a spider spawner, and how cave spiders don't need to fall as far as other mobs! Digging out spaces under each spawner, we set up a floor of magma blocks for spawn-proofing and extra damage, with a simple but versatile hopper minecart collection system below. The end result is a very simple afk string farm we can use to craft more scaffolding, candles, bows, crossbows, and even emergency wool!
