Understanding how to play tetris as a multiplayer game and not a singleplayer game is kinda confusing when you're starting out, and then some dude comes up to you and starts telling you the top players are all looking at each others boards all the time and there's this deep complex layer to the game that you and I don't see and they're doing this thing called "macro" that's really cool and he can sell you some for $20 but really multiplayer tetris is a lot like singleplayer tetris there's just like a few extra things you need to consider. It also helps to have a plan going in, so that's what this video is about. I've had these ideas banging around in my head for a while. Originally this video was going to be a lot more specific with its recommendations, but with the reveal of seasons in TL that kinda went out the window. I kept this to more general ideas plus a couple key specific recommendations that will probably serve you well in S2. I definitely left out a ton of key concepts I could've touched on, specifically some more theory about timing / volatility; my ideas on these got very muddled with the addition of surge, so I'm letting them bake a little more before I say anything about them. I also think this video probably would've been better if I had a video on downstacking first but oh well.
