V8 Floor Shifted Galaxie wagon returns! Can the engine be saved after 30 years in a junkyard!

After a long wait we are finally back with the 64 Ford Galaxie Country Sedan 289 V8 floor shifted manual station wagon. We rescued this car from a local junkyard where it had been sitting for 30 years with the windows down and all the spark plugs out of the engine. Because of the plugs being out the cylinder bores really got rusted up and we were unable to get the engine unstuck until we took the heads off and filled the cylinders with muriatic acid to eat out the rust. Although we were able to free up the engine one of the cylinders was pitted so bad that we are going to have to rebuild this 289 so in this video we are going to get the engine out, tear it down, and try to figure out if it is rebuildable or not.
