TRIUNE MUSIC installs an Infinity 243 on the Wangerin Pipe Organ at an historic WELS Church

As part of their 150th Anniversary Celebration at Bethany Lutheran Church, the congregation decided to make a serious investment in refurbishing their 2-manual Wangerin Pipe Organ. Triune Music installed a new Rodgers Infinity 243 (console) to control the existing 12 ranks of pipes. The organ became far more versatile after we built a wall to separate the Swell and Great Chests using independent expression motors and after we replaced a seldom used Vox Humana with vintage Swell Trumpet. A floating Solo Division now speaks from behind the Altar and provides accompaniment for Cantors and Celebrants in the chancel. A mechanical zimbelstern (made in Wisconsin using real handbells), was added to the instrument along with controls to change the volume, speed, etc. A client visiting here recently stated, “You proved that a Wangerin could sound great…. I would buy a Rodgers console even if we were doing an all-pipe project.”
