LASTA SP 745 Louisiana Bicentennial RR Tour 4/29/2005, PART 3, Segment: Jackson, MS to Hammond, LA

Intro: 00:00 Video: 01:05 Louisiana Steam Train Association, Louisiana Purchase & Exploration Bicentennial Tour, Part 3, Jackson, Mississippi, to Hammond, Louisiana, Segment, April 29-30, 2005. Southern Pacific/Texas & New Orleans 2-8-2 No. 745. Due to a greasing problem and fire on the right connecting rod driver bushing, I boarded the train to help the "Grease Crew", and did not shoot the "run-by" pictures of the train that I had planned. Most of this video is shot from the Tender Doghouse, behind the locomotive. My resulting video is very unsteady, unedited, long, and often ends abruptly, as the camera batteries died. But, I was able to capture some great audio of the whistles and the rare experience. Who knows if a steam locomotive will ever mourn its lonesome call down the old ICRR "Mainline of Mid-America" again?
