Exploring the municipal theatre with a cinematic FPV drone - Kortrijk Schouwburg in 4K

When an FPV nerd meets a forward thinking and open-minded person who's got the keys to the municipal theatre of my current city, only good things can happen. And so it did. When I met the great folks of the Stadsschouwburg of Kortrijk in December 2019, we started talking about possible collaborations. A few great ideas came up and we decided to check out what could be done with the cinematic FPV drone inside the facilities. Above are some of the shots we got. Most (if not all of this) was purely exploratory and we've got a few ideas lined up for future projects but more about that later. The municipal theatre (Stadsschouwburg) of Kortrijk is such a special place to walk around. It's not a newly built theatre. I've had the privilege to be guided though some of the old parts of the building (below the stage and above via the attic etc). This is truly a historical building with loads of stories. Due to the way FPV pilots fly these cinematic FPV drones, we are able to capture angles, corridors, locations with high precision without ever breaking a sweat while maintaining a beautiful aesthetic to the video footage. It takes a bit of practice and some dedication but once you know how to pilot a cinematic FPV drone, all kinds of cool stuff becomes possible!
