NEVER NEVER GIVE UP | SON MAKES IT TO 9,000FT ON HIS OWN | INSPIRING CLIMB | DAD WILL YOU CARRY ME?

We started early this Saturday morning of soccer and football on a day that was supposed to be pouring rain! We thought we would be spending the day indoors but Mother Nature held out just long enough for us to take 8 kids on a hike to 9000 feet. We did the same hike I did with my sister just a few weeks ago. All of the kids were such troopers on a hike we didn’t expect to feel as long as it did! Landon insisted on leading the pack. He was determined to set the pace and do it all on his own. Towards the end the hike became a bit steep and the ground very uneven making it much more difficult for all of us. Landon became a bit frustrated because he was having a harder time and couldn’t go as fast as his cousins but he kept on going. It wasn’t until the last 2 minutes that he accepted a piggy back ride from Dad. He is one determined and inspiring little boy. All the kids started having a hard time towards the end wondering if we should just turn back. But just like anything that’s worth waiting for, it takes pushing yourself a little further than you thought you could. When we reached the top, the views were unreal. You could see for miles. Snowfall, fall colors and beauty the camera won’t do justice. We came home exhausted but happy we had an unforgettable day with cousins.
