Early childhood music education has been shown to enhance children’s development in many areas including self-regulation, academic performance, social and emotional development, language development, cognition, physical development, and school readiness. The National Head Start Association is pleased to partner with PlayMotion Music's Nick Young, an early childhood music and movement educator with nearly 30 years of experience, to host a weekly opportunity for Head Start children to participate in an engaging, online music and movement curriculum. Play along with Nick’s fun songs, musical stories, and rhythm games every Tuesday at 11:30 am ET on Zoom. The National Head Start Music Time features fun guests like Pinky Pie Jackalope, a high-spirited music enthusiast who is eager to "help" Nick put on a good show. And, of course, you—Head Start children and families across the country!
