Isolated Maracas: • I've Just Seen A Face | Maracas | Isolated Snare With Brushes: • I've Just Seen A Face | Snare with Brushes... The newly release Take 3 of I've Just Seen A Face reveals a few insights to this song that were difficult to distinguish before. Paul is using his Texan which is tuned down to D-standard, the same as in Yesterday recorded on the same day. You can hear Paul warm up with a low E chord shape, which has the sound of a low D chord, just before they launch into Take 3. They also have a false start which reveals the arrangement and octaves of the two guitars in the pickup before the main intro riff. The intro guitars are playing an alternating pattern between two notes, ascending the arpeggio each measure, however, the guitar on the right channel has a 3rd note between the two that sounds accidental. Whether intentional or not, it gives the introduction a more harmonically complex tone. Besides the 12-string riffs, most of the rhythm and bass of the song is coming from Paul's acoustic strumming. I originally used the pick and flick method Paul is known for, but switched back to a pick after needing more attack. For this cover, I used an Alvarez Dy-74c in place of Paul's Texan An Alvarez -12 string in place of the Framus Hootenany 12-string An Epiphone J160 in place of the Gibson J160
